| Tuno | Reply: posted - 31 March 2010 11:43 N7: Please post your log file, or give GW the bird. -CD |
| Andy Durbin | Reply: posted - 31 March 2010 9:38 So, how are we doing on contest scores? Did N7 forfeit? |
| Andy Durbin | Reply: posted - 21 March 2010 20:53 Look like N7 gave up the bird for not posting his file..... No wait - that should be - we gave N7 the bird for not posting his file... No, that doesn't work either. Ralph - post your file! |
| Tom Dukerich | Reply: posted - 21 March 2010 20:49 Still waiting for a couple IGC files. Here are the files I have - 2NO, AJ, CA1, CH, GY, GW, MW and NC. If you prefer not to post to ASA or OLC, just email your IGC file and I'll keep it secure. Great BBQ afterwards. |
| Tuno | Reply: posted - 21 March 2010 18:44 I had a great time!!! Wish I could take credit for the task call but that should go to GW, who pointed out to me that Agua Fria wasn't the safest option for the wx. It was his idea to shift everything west far enough so we didn't have to cross the hills 4 times. The official contest series opens April 10th at El Tiro. Let's have a great turnout there! El Tuno |
| Kirk Stant | Reply: posted - 21 March 2010 17:45 Great time! Special thanks to Bob T for setting it all up and hosting a great cookout (sure brought back memories!) and to Tuno for CDing - calling what was probably a perfect task with the conditions at hand. Hope we do this again next year (and hopefully I'll have a better grip on the start then ;^) ! Kirk |
| Nigel Cripps | Reply: posted - 21 March 2010 8:11 The log files are being divided across two places on the ASA website - the 2010 contest series and also to Tom's suggested non-contest xc series.

| Andy Durbin | Reply: posted - 21 March 2010 7:30 Thanks to Ted for being CD, and to Bob for arranging the eats and for cooking. I think this should become an annual event. I just saw Tom's request to post logs to ASA. I had already posted to OLC and hope that all pilots will do the same. ASA OLC points are a bit thin so far this year. Andy |
| Bob Thompson | Reply: posted - 21 March 2010 7:25 The day / evening went well. There were about a dozen gliders that showed up. Most made it around task, 1 landout. I was sniffer, and pinned off into 4-5 kts at 1.3k above the airport at 12:50pm. A nice clear blue day. Dinner afterwards was well attended, and no one went home hungry. All the chicken, burgers, broasted veggies, beans, and brownies were devoured, along with most of the chips, salsa, and baked potatoes, Thanks to those that brought other pot luck items. Awards for 1st (Ralph), 2nd (Steve), and 3rd (Andy) were handed out ahead of dessert. Now that Spring is officially here, let the great weather and gliding begin! |
| Tom Dukerich | Reply: posted - 20 March 2010 20:29 Please post your flight logs to the 2010 Non-Contest section and I'll create a scoresheet. |
| Tuno | Reply: posted - 19 March 2010 18:09 Pilots meeting at 10:30am, in the grass by the elm tree. |
| Andy Durbin | Reply: posted - 19 March 2010 7:42 Ted, Could you please post a reminder of the time for the pilot's meeting. thanks Andy |
| Tony Smolder | Reply: posted - 18 March 2010 22:15 Or how about a 4 day weekend of XC? Check out OLC for today.... |
| Bob Thompson | Reply: posted - 18 March 2010 16:04 ADDS indicates the front passing thru Arizona tomorrow (Friday) and my altimeter sitting on my desk indicates a 400' gain today (approaching low). I note several folks planning on being out at Turf tomorrow for FAA inspections. Perhaps contidions may well be quite reasonable for soaring. Anyone else intersted? Possibly a 3 day weekend of airtime... |
