| Tuno | Reply: posted - 4 March 2010 4:47 I highly recommend taking advantage of any opportunity to fly with Garret. I took a "private lesson" with him in 2005 and got more out of it than I anticipated. .02NO |
| Tony Smolder | Start of thread: posted - 3 March 2010 20:53 Garret Willat, current USA World Team Open Class pilot, and winner of the 2009 Open Class Nationals is planning on flying Region 9S, here at El-Tiro in the Stemme S10vt, and will be offering the left seat to the highest bidder. This is not just a ride-along, this is a CFIG instructional flight from the current US Open Class National champion. This is a classic XC racing and coaching flight where Garret will fly the first leg while you follow along. You will then take the controls and fly the rest of the flight under Garret’s tutelage. The day will consist of a pre-flight briefing that will cover relevant topics, flying the task to win (hopefully), and then debriefing on the flight. Each day will be tailored to you and your experience level. Garret would like to have a list of strength and weakness in advance so he knows what to focus on. The goal is to maximize this contest for you. The current plan is to be ready to fly the first unofficial practice day of May 9th. However if someone would like to start earlier, other offers will be considered. To sign up for this “not to missed opportunity” please contact Garret at: email gliderstud@hotmail.com subject: Region 9S, or call his cell (760) 533-4081 |
