Andy, I've been using my Spot during the winter in the Husky and my impression also has been that consistency has improved.

I fired up my Spot this morning to make sure it, and the tracking service, was working.

I was surprised to see that it missed no reports. The first few points are inside the house. I had powered it hoping to get a GPS lock before I drove to work but had no expectation the uplink would work. There is another report with the unit on the van floor with a very obstructed view of the sky.

Is it possible the uplink reception has been improved or is this performance just luck?

Also noticed that aerial photos of Glendale have been updated this winter.

BTW this renews my concern about the member spot pages being open to public access. I'd much prefer that link to only be available to ASA members.
